IT'S ALL ABOUT THE LIBRARY
READING IS YOUR BEST DEFENSE!
My name is Ronda M. Daniel, and it is my pleasure to serve as your child's librarian. I am eager to help your child develop their skills as a critical thinker, an enthusiastic reader, and an ethical user of information. I look forward to a successful and rewarding school year. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you or your child.
"There is no substitute for books in the life of a child". Mary Ellen Chase

Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a digital program that helps students and teachers manage and monitor independent reading practice in both English and Spanish. Students pick a book at their own level and read it at their own pace. When students finish the book, they take a short computer-based quiz to check their understanding. As students read and take quizzes, they earn points and track their progress toward their individualized Accelerated Reader goals. Remember, the purpose of AR is to inspire a love of reading and encourage children to be lifelong readers.

Visits
Students must have a signed and dated pass from their teacher before visiting the library. Teachers are asked to sign up for class or small-group visits at least 1 day in advance and must supervise their students during these visits. Students and staff may use the library for reading and relaxing, browsing for books, studying/doing homework, researching, using a computer for school-related projects, pre-approved club meetings, and participation in special events. All library patrons are asked to refrain from eating, drinking, and chewing gum. Please work quietly and calmly, and handle all library materials, equipment, and furniture with care. Leave your area clean and safe by picking up after yourself and pushing in your chair.
Remember…
The library is a special place full of resources that can help you be a great student. When you need books to read, information, help with assignments, or access to technology, the library is the place to go.
